The Illegitimate Love ChildNot much has been said about the illegitimate love child of Elle and Kirk (not his real name). Well, in all honesty, not much can be said.Nigel is a terrapin (that's a turtle to the rest of us). It surprises some that Nigel was not their real child - he was in fact adopted. Neither Elle nor Kirk (not his real name) have really tried to keep this fact a secret. 
The young couple adopted Nigel when he was merely days old, a small and somewhat frail child only slightly larger than your thumb-nail. With the new joy that Nigel brought the household, there were also the new pressures. The responsibilities of feeding, (rumours that one of the couple were breast-feeding are apparently unfounded), cleaning and generally nursing a young one restricted their previously free and easy lifestyle (Elle was free and Kirk (not his real name) was easy).When the relationship crumbled under the pressure, new dilemmas emerged. Who would gain custody of Nigel and under what conditions? After a bitter battle that lasted some weeks, Kirk (not his real name) ended up with custody, allowing Elle visiting rights. There was a period when Nigel did in fact stay with Elle, however the responsibility was obviously too much and he once again lost custody with the tug-of-love child returning to Kirk's (not his real name) care. To this day Nigel still lives with Kirk (not his real name). Elle claims not to be bitter about his loss, however it has been noted that he has neither visited or even phoned Nigel in some months.
